Just Like That

I love this phrase "just like that" because everything about me is "just like that". When I was thinking about putting down my thoughts, I just created this blog "just like that". Because every writer is "just like that". You have thoughts, you have the willpower and you create a platform "just like that".

Yesterday I was watching a promotion on the telly. It has been almost a week I have been watching it. Why is it that in these promotions they ask very simple questions? Sample this. You are given the clue ukuk. The question is this: It is a bird loved in Kenya. That is the Swahili version.If it is a male they call it a cock. If it is a female they call it a hen. What is the answer?

And the numbers are displaying on the screen for me to call or text. But the clues are not yet over. It proceeds: Call now or text me and win 10,000 shillings just like that.It is eaten with fries or chips. Call now and win 10,000 shillings just like that. It is that simple.

And I, Lorot Son of the Hills, am seated there watching. These guys want me to tell them kuku (chicken). What a question is that? I expect tougher stuff. Something like: Where did Napoleon Bonaparte die? Who was the 22nd President of U.S.A? Where in the world is Uzbekistan? I expected sterner stuff. Things like the full meaning of Latin terms like mutatis mutandis, ab initio, a fortiori...

And for just saying 'kuku' you win 10,000 shillings "just like that"! Somebody is fooling the other. Just like that!
